The Blitz Blitz Events started The Blitz obstacle course race to provide kids a fun and challenging way to get fit. Not all kids will become varsity athletes at their schools, but everyone recognizes the need to move and exercise to stay healthy. The Blitz is for all kids between 9 and 17, and yes, the parents of participants may also run in the event. We have selected The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve as our charity partner as we all strive to make a difference in providing youth development programs for at-risk kids in the greater Akron area. We want kids and their parents to make good choices about eating and exercising and adopting that as part of their daily lives.

Course Description:

The Blitz is a unique and fun obstacle course event for kids 7 to 17 and their parents.
Each Blitz event is approximately 2 miles in length and features 12 professionally built obstacles designed to challenge everyone who dares to conquer The Blitz. You'll encounter climbing walls, ladder climbs, rope swings, balance beams, a water slide and much more.
Every kid will walk away with a blitz t-shirt, finishing medal and wrist band.

Aid Stations:

Water will be provided for all runners. Depending upon the venue, food trucks will be present offering up a variety of tasty foods for purchase.
We will have a trained medical professional available on-site or have access to one at each event.

Spectators:

We encourage friends and family to come out and support all the participants and make a lot of noise!

Other:

We have selected The American Diabetes Association as our charity partner as we strive to bring an awareness of this disease and the steps you can take to minimize its impact. 
Making good choices about eating and exercising are a lifetime pursuit and the sooner we adopt that as part of our lifestyle will assist in putting us on a road to living a life of wellness.
These events are untimed, so you can take as much time as you like to complete the course. If you come to an obstacle that is too difficult to complete, just go around it and continue on!
