There are Competitive Male and Female waves. All competitive waves are OCRWC and NORAM qualifiers for top finishers.

Course Description:
The course features rugged and hilly terrain in the foothills of Loveland, CO. Racers will encounter 20 or more obstacles over the 5 mile distance.
Male and Female Competitive Racers wear a 20lb (Female) or 30lb (Male) rucksack throughout the obstacle course race. Competitive waves are ""mandatory obstacle completion"".
Aid Stations:
There are two aid stations on the course. Paramedics are on standby during the race. The finish line has water and energy drinks.
Awards:
There are awards and cash prizes for Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female competitive wave racers.
There is a trophy for the top overall team (based on scoring individual placement of all members on the team).
Male and Female Competitive top Finishers (13 Male/ 13 Female) will have the opportunity to qualify for the Elite/Pro Wave or Age Group wave of both North American Obstacle Racing Championships (NORAM) and Obstacle Course Racing World Championships (OCRWC).
Prizes:
The race offers cash prizes to the top 3 male and female finishers in the competitive wave. There are additional prizes given to participants in the festival area for participating in fun challenges and fitness competitions after the race.
Spectators:
Spectators are free and have on course access at select locations. Spectator locations are noted on the course map.
Parking:
Parking is free and close to the event start/finish line.
Post Party:
There is a post race party at the finish line. There will be music, food, drink and ongoing fitness challenges with awards and prizes given out. The competitions and finish line challenges are run by Coach Pain, the award winning Motivator and Emcee.
Other:
CerusRuk supports the charity ""Roberta's Legacy"" - A charity that supports women in their battle with breast cancer by providing financial support to women during their battle.
You are responsible for bringing your own pack and weight to complete the course. You must start and finish the race at or above the minimum weight requirement.
Minimum age for competitive heats is 16. Minimum age for recreational waves is 8 with parental guidance.
The event is chip timed
For competitive only: the race features ""mandatory obstacle completion"" meaning you must complete every obstacle. Failure to complete every obstacle results in a time penalty in the overall results.
There is a gear check and it's free!
Team:
CerusRuk has teams and offers awards to two team categories:
-Biggest Team: Gets private tents, Water, Shoutout by Coach Pain, and Patches
-Top Team: Scoring individuals from the competitive waves based on placement in the overall a team receives an overall score (ex: first place 1 point, second place 2 points). Lowest team score wins!
