CurerusRuk hooked me on rucking
This was my first ever ruck event. I am a big fan of OCR and was more than happy to support a local northern Colorado race. I was glad I did. The venue was awesome. The obstacles were great and spaced well and the terrain was amazing. I was a little hesitant to try a race that is essentially a 5 mile heavy carry but it was manageable. You could take the weight off for climbing obstacles so it wasn’t bad at all and it kept the faster runner folks grouped up so it was more of a competitive race. Hard to run away from the crowd with 30 pounds on your back. I give this one two thumbs up for the creativity and competitiveness of turning a good OCR into a challenging fun event by adding a weighted back.
