Course Description:
The 8K course takes runners up hills, through sand (some deep), over obstacles, on some pavement, and through mud pits. This is a tough race and completion = satisfaction!
Run where the Navy runs, on the beautiful beaches at JEB Little Creek Amphibious Base. Not for the couch potato, this 8K race takes runners through a variety of terrain including sand and mud with obstacles. A local favorite for 15 years, The Armed Services YMCA strives to provide runners and guests with with the best experience possible.
Aid Stations:
Paramedics are on the scene to assist anyone who may need medical help. Bananas, pizza, water, beer, coffee, etc. will be available. Runners eat and drink for free.

Spectators:
Spectators are free!
Parking:
Parking is free but you must ride in with a runner and be on the base list to gain entry unless you are military or a DOD (Department of Defense) card holder.
Post Party:
There will be a DJ, food and the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. Runners can wash off in the ocean after the race. If guests would like to partake in the food and drinks, they can purchase a Cheer Band for just $5 at the Expo the day before at the Westin Hotel in Town Center, Virginia Beach.
Other:
This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Armed Services YMCA of Hampton Roads.
The proceeds from the race stay right here to provide programs to help ""Make Military Life Easier"" for E-5 and below active duty personnel and their families.

Teams consist of 5 runners.
