The Playpen (Military Style Obstacle Course) is Southern California's 1st outdoor obstacle course. With the emergence of obstacle races such as Tough Mudder, Mud Run, Spartan Race, and etc. there has been no place to train for such events, until NOW. We offer many of the same obstacles you will find on a military installation with the added benefit of a 50 x 50 foot area for the most popular styles of training. If you like kettle bells, bumper plates, battling rope, wall balls, pull up bars, stairs, tire flipping, and all of those beastly things come see us!

Overlooking the scenic Upper Newport Back Bay, this authentic military obstacle course and training facility will allow you to challenge yourself in ways not previously possible. Programming is based around learning the skills needed to conquer the obstacles while building strength, endurance and balance through functional fitness based workouts. All sessions are under the guidance and supervision of specially trained instructors, some of who are United States military veterans.
