You did the research, and you want it all. The pulse-pounding world-class obstacles that’ll test your toughness, the mouth-watering local eats, the killer live entertainment, and the frosty cold beer(s) to wash it all down. The only thing stopping you is that your usual crew can’t hit the mud with you.
Today, Tough Mudder Inc., announced brand-new, better-than-ever obstacles for the 2019 event season. The new obstacles including signature features, will be first put to the test at World’s Toughest Mudder – the most extreme, insane, imposing, pulse-pounding, heart-stopping obstacle course challenge on the planet. Elite athletes including former World’s Toughest Mudder champion, Ryan Atkins, Lindsay Webster, Allison Tai and military veteran and Dancing with the Stars competitor, Noah Galloway will join over 1,500 participants at the grueling, 24-hour extreme endurance race on November 10 and 11 in Atlanta, GA.
Tough Mudder Classic is a return to our badass roots. In 2019 we’ll be testing your strength and mental grit over an 8-10 mile course featuring 25 obstacles -- more per mile than ever before -- including 10 new or updated 2019 obstacles.
I headed to Neal Farms approximately 30 minutes east of music city for this year’s Nashville Tough Mudder (TM). Saturday marked my first TM Half event, thus earning the title of Repeat Offender x3. While this event didn’t live up to my last experience in Nashville, which was none other than the beta-test 5K at the Tennessee Titans football stadium in 2017, I did enjoy most of my day on the farm.
It all came down to the rainy Pacific Northwest, as a group of tremendously talented and badass OCR athletes toed the line for the 2018 Tougher Mudder Championship

As Tough Mudder puts it they are looking for "fun-loving, thrill-seeking and fearless candidates".
The 2018 OCR season has been a real eye-opener for me. I’ve already dealt with a medial DNF, earned a nice broken foot and, as I type this, sit here with all kinds of patterns of kinesiology tape on my back, applied by a chiropractor at a licensed PT facility. As I age, I find I’m more susceptible to injury, and those recovery times seem to lengthen after every birthday.
