Savage Race decided to try something new for 2018. A few months back they put out a photo teaser about a new event called Savage Blitz. They followed it up with a live video and we were told it would be a 3 mile course with 15-20 obstacles. They originally were doing a limited release this season with only 4 planned locations.

It's a completely new take on a tire pull, but instead of pulling with your arms your legs do all the work. Savage Race announced today a new offering to their obstacle racing menu today with the official introduction of Savage Blitz a 3-mile and 15-20 obstacle fast-paced new obstacle race series to complement the original 5-7 mile offering. The final Savage Race weekend of 2018 started out with A bang.... literally. Just after the finish of the national anthem and thousands of people all around, the United States Army fired off a cannon into the air to start the final race of the 2017 season at the Little Everglades Ranch in Dade City, Florida home of Savage Race for the past several years.
Savage Race returned to the Chicago area over the weekend for another strong showing for the series. Recently, Mud Run Guide was sent the 2017 Savage Race medals. We shared those medals with the OCR community in during a Facebook Live event. The medals from Savage have continued to evolve and change each year. This year offers new larger medals and a new and improved Syndicate Medal.
