My excitement level was high as I headed to Polar Hero, first, this was my first OCR in Canada, second, it marks my third country to have raced an OCR this year and lastly, this “should” be my last winter/snow on the ground race this winter!
Warrior Dash started their 2015 season over the past weekend in California and Texas. In Canada, Elite racers Claude Godbout, reigning Spartan Race World Champion, and her BattleFrog teammate Marc-André (Marco) Bédard began their OCR season at Polar Hero in Quebec.
This was my second trip to Florida to race at a BattleFrog event in less than a month. I was again running the Xtreme version of the BattleFrog Central Florida event.
In the past few days rumors have made their way across the OCR World regarding the BattleFrog Race Series. Spartan has upped their game this year. If you have not done a Spartan in 2015, expect harder courses and harder obstacles. The Georgia 2015 Spartan Sprint was once again at the beautiful International Horse Park in Conyers. Spartan took advantage of the terrain using rolling hills, thick Georgia clay, and even the steep embankments were they could.

After an unimpressive experience at this event in 2014 I left me promising myself that I wouldn’t be signing up for another one of their events.
