Badass Women of OCR – Deanna Brasz

By |April 4th, 2018|

Deanna Brasz is truly a Badass Woman of OCR in my eyes. In 2017, she ran 10 Tougher Mudders, with 7 podium finishes and 4 first place finishes. If that wasn't bad ass enough, three times last year she ran Tougher Mudder on Saturday morning, and then Toughest Mudder 8 hour event the same night.

Badass Women of OCR – Jessika Poppe

By |March 28th, 2018|

In life, often we feel that things should go in one direction, but a life event opens our eyes and leads us along a new path.  In Jessika Poppe's case, this was very true. Here was a survivor of domestic abuse who was able to use OCR and racing as a way to survive, and feels alive again in her own life. She was able to get out of a truly awful situation in life and has become an OCR force of nature.

By |February 28th, 2018|

I first heard about Heather Bode through the Overcome and Run Podcast I was listening to on the way to work one morning. As an OCR racer, I found it quite interesting to hear the take on everything OCR from a husband and wife team.

By |February 16th, 2018|

As a mother of two, a personal trainer and a competitive racer, I am fiercely passionate about encouraging the next generation of obstacle course racers.  So when an opportunity came up at Phoenix Evolution (an OCR gym located in Chandler, Arizona) to coach 25 kids, ages 5-13, I could not have been more excited.
