The Newby’s have a full 5k OCR Newbsanity (plus 5k Extreme Ravine trail run across the street) to practice on daily. They not only use it for themselves but have created an obstacle racing facility for the community to explore, train, and race.

With Tough Mudder set to take over the venue for the next five years, May 19th will be the last event for The Battlegrounds as we know it. I’m hoping Tough Mudder incorporates some of The Battlegrounds existing obstacles into their race with a name like Tough Mudder’s Battlegrounds.

Mud Titan and Tactical Titan are small Florida based obstacle race series which has been around the industry since 2012. The races are run by Mike Nelson. This year the company expects over 6,ooo participants from its four events in 2018.
Small Race Series Spotlight: KC Timber Challenge
KC Timber Challenge offers the midwest it's own permanent obstacle course. Located in Bonner Springs, Kansas KC Timber Challenge has become a favorite among midwest obstacle racers since 2013. The race has grown from about 600 people at their first event to an estimated 8,000 this year over six events.
