Nice and easy

Your First Mud Run is the perfect OCR for beginners. The race is a very short distance and you can choose your obstacle difficulty to have the best challenge for your level. Only bummer part, in my opinion, was that you had to run the course twice, and it's more boring to do the second time. Would have rathered new obstacles all the way through. Also, there's no mud until the final obstacle, and the mud during my race was full of gravel and left me with a bloody knee. Overall, though, I highly recommend this race as the easiest way to ease yourself into a mud run.

YFMR is great, it’s always a lot of fun, people always enjoy themselves, and they always come back for more. Kids and parents have a great time and everyone always leaves with a smile on their face. It’s organized and the owner/crew are great people! Don’t hesitate to ask them anything. Looking forward to participating in the next event!

While I had a great time at this mud run there were a few things that were disappointing. First, I ran the last wave and while I am admittingly a slow runner (about middle of the pack) I noticed halfway through my wave that all the volunteers had left. I understand that they most likely had a quitting time but it took away from the experience especially when one entire obstacle was running away from zombies and the zombies just left. Secondly, there wasn't any mud! I know that sounds silly but the mud crawl was literally wet sand and grainy dirt. The company did apologize an email they sent to us after the event but when I sign up and pay over $50 dollar for a mud run - I'd like to see some mud. Fun event but seemed like it may have been poorly organized. Maybe if I tried an earlier wave it would have been better.

As far as the volunteers leaving their posts, it only happens on the last wave AFTER everyone has done the first lap, as those volunteers are allowed to run the second lap of the last wave for free, but the zombies were supposed to stay the whole race, and i'm pretty sure they did. And you are totally correct about the mud. that has never hapened before, and even though we ordered "topsoil" i think they sent us something different. This will be corrected for next year! Hopefully you come again, as we have some new awesome obstacles planned to make it even better!"

This was a great event for family. Kids had a ton of fun. Love the way that this was organized. Will do another one as soon as we can. Keep up the good work.

I have worked at this event each year. It has gotten better, grown in size and become a really fun experience.It provides a variety of challenges for all ages and abilities. A great way to spend a weekend.

This is a great race to try of you are a newbie like me. I was nervous at first but had such a blast! I can't wait to do it again next year.

great event for everyone! fun for kids, first time mud runners. If you want to attend a mud run event but you're nervous about doing a big one like spartan race or tough mudder then this is an amazing starting point. Its completely safe and a whole lot of fun for everyone!

This was a great experience. The course was organized and family friendly. People of all ages and levels could really have fun and enjoy running the race. I will definitely be running more races with Your First Mud Run.
