Tactical Titan obstacle races, mud run, and OCR information, distance, cost, dates, calendar, discounts, obstacles, reviews, and more

I ran this two years ago and things are deteriorating . I’d rate it a 8 out of 10 back then, but now a 6-6.5. Worn out obstacles and rigs, unstable and safety concerns on several. Ropes and lines needing replacement. Several obstacles unstaffed, so no idea what was supposed to be done, not even a sign to explain what to do. Medals downgraded, event shirt unimaginative, but prices increased. This is same price as Savage Race and not at all comparable. Feels like a dying event.

Unsafe

Between tactical titan and mud titan the event is unsafe. Owner drives around obstacles that are breaking and does nothing. Just drives away. Titan has no build crew on site day of race to block off obstacles breaking.
Mike nelson also like to verbally attack those who post negative reviews of his race. I have given tactical and mud titan 8 chances to better themsevles and nothing changes. They leave obstacles out in the weather all year round with no maintenance or cleaning. They also emplyee nate Gonzalez who mike nelson said was fired for lying, yet was back at the starting line at the next race. Mud titan and tactical titan need to just close up shop. Last event they put in tailgating games as obstacles, a joke indeef

Very frustrating race. Obstacles were definitely challenging and cool, but nearly all were single lane, causing a huge build up with the elite runners. About 70 of us started at 8:30 and whenever I got to an obstacle, there was a line of at least 10 guys in front of me. Nothing to do but stop and wait as they all took their turn on the obstacles. Heats should be staggered (at least dividing the men and women) and obstacles should have more than a single way through. I wound up ditching my elite band because I was tired of waiting. There's no penalty offered, either. The race organizers expect each to be totally completed, leaving the failures to join the back of the line, adding to the wait.
Also, the direction on a lot of obstacles was arbitrary. A lot were volunteerless and I didn't know what the rules of something was. You just had to trust what the racer in front of you was saying.
Parking was easy. Registration was quick. Race organizers need to do something about the wait. I'm there to run & compete. Not wait in line.

Titan events are awesome!!!

This event takes OCR to the next level! Very challenging course that is extremely fun for everyone! That staff is amazing and this event is very well organized! I can't wait for the next Titan Event!

Awesome experience

The course layout was awesome, the obstacles challenging yet friendly to all fitness levels. Very friendly staff and a family oriented atmosphere. I travelled from NC to spend this weekend with my son currently stationed at MacDill AFB to celebrate his 21st birthday and we had a blast. Won't be the last time, for sure.

Titian Events Are AWESOME

I've done 12 OCR events in just over 6 months and the Events have been Family Friendly and designed for any type of Athletic ability!! Plan on doing many more and inviting all my friends

Great time

This course was a lot of fun and I will definitely do it again. Only improvement needed is a longer distance between start line and first obstacle to help thin out the crowd. Other than that I was completely satisfied and would recommend this course to others.
