An obstacle mud run for you and your friends. Our 10K (6 mile) course and 20+ obstacles will challenge you whether you have been racing for years, or you are just getting into shape. Grab your friends, or make some new ones and get ready to Go Rogue.

Rogue Runner was founded by former US National Team and college athletes with some help from some Hollywood set designers.

We wanted to create a race that matched the intensity of the events we have competed in our career. So we set out to build an obstacle course that was both physically challenging, and pushed people to work as groups. Having competed at some of the highest level of sport, some of our most memorable times were those moments when we were pushed by those around us whether teammates or fellow competitors. So we designed an obstacles throughout the race that force racers to cooperate. You don’t have to come with a team to race at Rogue Runner, but you will need the people around you to get through the course.

These guys HAD some neat ideas. Their original race, last year, was horribly planned..they said they'd change things next time around. So far the race has been postponed twice (the first time about 2 weeks out before it was supposed to go). They are going bankrupt..and are just trying to get as much money as they can before the fold. They told me I'd receive reimbursement, but never sent..just FLAT OUT LIED! Avoid this race..there are many others out there that are legit and better organized.

Awesome Run!

Not sure about the one star ratings from the AZ race, but I participated in the SoCal run last month and had an awesome time! I ran with a few of my co-workers, and we all had a great time using teamwork to make it past the obstacles which proved to be more fun than impossibly hard, but that was fine with us! This race is definitely constructed for all ages and fitness levels to get some exercise in while still having a good time, which is why I really liked it. Not mention the plus of an awesome cover band, garlic parmesan fries, a cold beer, a shirt and metal to reward myself after the end of a long workout! I've gone rogue!

I have done Previous mud runs. This one by far was the most fun. I ran it with my brother and we both had a great time. The obstacles were fun and it was great having to use team work to get through a few of them. If you are interested in having a great time with some friends do not hesitate to sign up for this run. Plus you get a nice cold beer at then end which makes the run worth it.

I did this event with about 20 of my friends and we had a great time. The obstacles were fun, and not extremely challenging which made it possible for everyone in our group to participate even with the varying fitness levels. We helped each other through each obstacle and cheered each other on. If you want to break the world's mud run record or are trying to prove something, maybe this event is not for you. If, on the other hand you are doing a mud run to have some fun and get some exercise I would highly recommend a Rogue Runner event. I hung with my buddies, I got my shirt, I got muddy, and I earned my ice cold brewski. What else could I ask for? Nothing, is the answer to that question.

The organization and water stations seemed better than what was reported from the Az. racers, but the obstacles were definitely a joke, not to mention, extremely cheesy.
I'll admit I'm a bit biased, coming from the Spartan races, but I agree that they seemed thrown together with very little effort. The race reminded me of nothing but a junior high school playground.

At the final water station, there were no cups and there was a line to lay down and use your mouth to get a drink from two of the three working dispensers. As thirsty as I was, I decided to skip this. I was already at my wits end from waiting in the lines at nearly all the Mickey Mouse obstacles.

All in all, this is a good race for a beginner, but for anyone with even a little obstacle racing experience, don't waste your time.....unless you'd like a replacement for your regular workout for the day. This is certainly what the Rogue Runner was for me.

WORST RACE EVER

Apr 03, 2013 by steven

My 3 year old could have done a better job organizing a race, you cant even call it a race because we waited 20-40 min for so called obstacles. I would not even call it a mud run because there was no water not even at the water stations. a lady infront of me stole one of the volunteers water jugs from them just so all of us could have water. there is not even close to 25 obstacles on the race. It looks like they put the whole race together 30 min before we started. and not to mention they delete all the negative posts on facebook. save your money dont do this 6 mile walking event with no water... but if you do bring your own water

Disorganized

Mar 31, 2013 by Travis B.

If I could give zero stars I would, the entire operation was a mess. The packet pick-up area was confusing and placed in an area with constant cross traffic. Each wave was supposed to be staggered so that faster runners would start first and the slower ones would trail them after; this did not happen. Instead, we all ended up jammed onto a single file trail walking to the first obstacle. The obstacles were not interesting or fun, some started to fall apart such as the "water slide" if you can actually call it that. The toughest obstacle of all was waiting in line for 30 minutes to do just one obstacle. The lines were so bad it got to a point where more than a few people started to skip obstacles just to keep the pace going. The worst thing about the race though was that there was no water at the water stations. They ran out and did not resupply which in Arizona is a very dangerous thing while people are running out in the desert. Rogue Runner also deletes any post that says anything negative about their events on their Facebook page so don't trust them.

I would recommend that no one participate in Rogue Runner events. As stated in an earlier review, they are dishonest and most definitely don't uphold their agreements. The worst race I've ever participated in.

worst race ever

I just completed your AZ run on March 30th and I was extremely disappointed. I understand that this was the 3rd race you have ever put together for the Rogue Runner series but you come to a location that obstacle races are here just about every month and you have basically set yourself up for failure for ever getting good participation if you come back to phoenix area.

Lets start from the beginning:

1.) I drive all the way to Tempe to get my packet and fill out the required waiver. First your staff is 1hr and 23 min late. I understand you gave ppl a notice on Facebook but not everyone has facebook plus your staff was still 23 min late for a event we paid good money for! In addition we did not get our tshirts and still had to stand in line at the site to get them. Talk about a waste in gas and time!

2.) Timing! a lot of us do races and many of them in hopes to improve our time, bragging rights, or just to see how we did. You tell us at the last minute that we cannot be timed unless we go before 9am! really that is pretty bad planning on your part!

3.) teams! We originally signed up as individuals but decided to make a team and were told we would be reassigned (this was 2 weeks before the race). However, again big disappointment we were all set as individuals still

4.) Obstacles! i was told 24 obstacles, im sorry going under a barbwire fence that was already at the park doesn't count as a obstacle course to me. Plus don't get me started on the tire walk! i only really counted 12 obstacles the rest was filler and your last minute try to put stuff together.

5.) waiting! again cluster! having to wait 20 min to do an obstacle was ridiculous.. really 2 monkey bars for all the ppl who signed up? you gotta be kidding me

6.) Last but not least the lack of water! I swear you are in Arizona and you run out of water at stations? seriously? talk about a lawsuit waiting to happen if someone was seriously hurt.

you guys need to get it together. I signed up, recruited friends, paid, and showed up. I held up my end of the bargain but you did not! I will never do a event by you again
