Muddy Buffalo
This was a tough obstacle course but such an absolute challenge for me! I swore I would try ea h and every obstacle and I did! It was an amazing feeling to see the strength I didn’t necessarily know I had! Ready for the Run in 2019!!!!
Great Race!
Just a great race. The obstacles were challenging, the terrain sucked because of the hills but I WAS challenged.. At the end of the race I thought "They were right"... I looked back at what I did and felt a huge rush of accomplishement. Thanks for a great race guys, see you in 2019!
The OCR to do in WNY
The Muddy Buffalo is a MUST do race if you are looking for a challenging OCR in 2019. They were recently named as one of the "Top 5 OCR's to do in 2019" and I see why. The race is ran smoothly and even though a few of the obstacles are a little more challenging they are all mostly completable. The course was marked pretty decently and even had Vita Cocoa at the finish line. I look forward to this years race!

Returning for year 3.
I ran this race in both 2017 and 2018. This is a great local race that is both fun and challenging. My favorite obstacle of 2018 was rappelling down the hill. My least favorite being the soul crusher, but it didn’t get me this year! As stated in another review I’m sure the weather played a huge factor in this. Bottom line, as long as I can physically do ocr’s, this one will be on my list!
Local Ocr
This race is a blast. It has the advantage of being local and it costs much less than the national races. Hopefully they are some new and more challenging obstacles
Fun & Challenging
2018 was the 2nd year I ran this race, and in 2018 I ran competitive (w/ mandatory obstacle completion). I seem to remember "soul crusher", the climb up the mountain, bigger in 2017 but I think part of it had to do with the weather. 2017 was pounding sunshine and 2018 was a foggy drizzle. That drizzle, however, made me fail the rope climb and I was pissed with myself. But then I changed my attitude and had FUN on the rest of the course! Unique obstacles (a near repel down a "hill") and very friendly staff. I'll be back every year!
Great local race!
What a great local race. With all the "big guns" moving out, this race is now a staple. Such a fun yet challenging ski mountain course with great obstacles. The folks that run this are so nice and care about the sport. I'll be back for sure!
