Mud hero will take your money and then not put on an event

Sadly, we were disappointed overall. Dirty Donkey had more “mud” vs the watery mud in mud hero. Felt like it was a money grabber with the “group discount” as it adds back up with the processing fee only at the end of the check out area when paying on line. AND parking AND bag check that is NOT a locker rather your bag is just left on a rack (ours on the ground), where anyone could easily take. After running a 6K obstacle, youd expect to be hungry right? Even hungrier waiting in line for an hour or so to hear theyve ran out of food (way over priced too) & we had to take what was left (12:00pm), (took them about 30min to give us a chicken caeser wrap (only one bc they gave the other away that we ordered), there was lettuce in it pretty much & it was 1/2 a wrap for $10. Embarrassing really. Food vendors were advertised on the website, there was 1 with no other option than greasy unhealthy food. Also like the pictures on the site, it’s very misleading & there is no finale of a mud slide that we were all looking fwd to. There was a group of 20 of us & we will not support Mud Hero again.
At each obstacle, the workers sat around & ate chips or did nothing at all. No hi or welcome or motivation.
Getting through the obstacles for our group was rewarding & we were all very proud to complete it. Fun was had regardless. But again, we wont be doing it again. Way too $ for what it’s actually worth. Misleading.
Too bad bc it could be way better!

being part of team wild for mud this coming years changes come as a surprise i found out from a freind because they didn't email me about the changes i get all kinds of email for other mud hero stuff why not this

all these changes and no notice i'm a team leader and i got no notice about changes to time and day off race and only 1 team mate got an email about it this is bull why all the secretsy about the changes now we plan to cancel 10k run and switch to 6k run so family can come out but now they have to pay to watch now to this is stupid

It was so much fun! The obstacles are great and waiting in line for your turn was not too long as you spend it meeting other "heros" discussing the best way to tackle it. Even others who are not in your group cheer you on and it is a very welcoming experience! I got kudos up my nose but hey it was worth it!!

Mud Hero is Awesome!

Mud Hero is really well organized which makes the whole experience so much fun! Every obstacle has options which makes it great for everyone, regardless of age or abilities! The music and food afterwards make it a real party!!

we compete in a bunch of OCR races for many years. we paid for timing chips and received NONE. contacted mud hero and got ZERO RESPONSE from them. remember, everyone that paid for timing chips got RIPPED OFF....everyone should be getting a hold of mud hero to voice not liking being ripped off and asking for a portion of their money back at least. EVERYONE we talked to to said the course sucked. it was completely lacking obstacles and good quality obstacles. it was a cheap......were not putting any money or effort into this course.....crap course

So FUN

Did the ultra last year with my nephew:) It was such a blast ! We are making it a yearly family event:):)

What a fun course I ran with my sisters this year and what a blast we had. We will be running again
