Krell Adventure Games obstacle races, mud run, and OCR information, distance, cost, dates, calendar, discounts, obstacles, reviews, and more
In developing the Krell Adventure Games, we aimed to create the next step in obstacle racing, and something that could appeal to everyone. As opposed to having a set course, teams can choose how much of the course they want to do, how fast they want to go and how hard they want to push themselves. Unlike some races, we will not put people through electric shocks, but we will challenge teams both physically and mentally. The team that wins may not necessarily be the fittest. The winners will possess a combination of fitness, problem solving ability and the ability to work together.
◦Teams of 2 enter the “Arena” with a map.
◦Each team chooses its own course and the obstacles to be tackled – some will be physical, some will be mental. ALL will be challenging.
◦Victory goes to the team that conquers the most obstacles in the shortest amount of time.
◦Maximum time in the Arena: 2 1/2 hours
◦Maximum distance: ?? miles
◦After the event, all are welcome to join us for our after-race party

Krell lives up to it's mantra
Krell Adventure Games definitely lives up to the slogan "use your body AND your mind". Part physical, part strategy, part cerebral, racers have to be able to think quickly, as the 15 minutes of prep time will FLY by, and then it's all about moving quickly. My team's strategy was modified several times, but had we stuck to our original plan, we would have never finished all 20 obstacles in the 3 hour window. The obstacles were difficult, but not too tough that a beginner would not be able to complete them. Obstacles included building a triangle from odd shaped puzzle pieces to Memorization to target shooting with a wrist-rocket to coasteering to ropes courses, etc. Another twist was the non-linear course design, where there were 3 obstacles that had prerequisite obstacles, forcing racers to zig-zag across the course, instead of just knocking off each obstacle as they traverse the course. Overall, this was a great course, thoughtfully designed and ended up being a great way to spend a couple of hours. I will definitely do another team race and I also can't wait to come back and do this course with my son in the Family division.
