I always say that BoldrDash is the most fun you can have on two feet! What's more fun than barreling down a 200 foot slip and slide? This race has so many obstacles you will never be bored. They are all scaled to 3 fitness levels, so whatever your capabilities- you can do them all. I was thrilled that I could do level 2 and 3 on lots of the obstacles. The volunteers are awesome! They are SO motivating. Even the other runners on the course motivated and helped each other along the way. I take great pride in my medal- I earned it!
Love it
I did my first BoldrDash race 5years ago, and every year since. I love it, the obstacles, the people, and the different locations. I love that every year they throw in a couple of surprises, at least 2, if not more new obstacles. What I love the most, is it has helped me overcome my anxiety, by building up my self esteem, it is amazing, and I will be doing BoldrDash until physically can not.
BoldRDash - Rocky Point
I did my first ever BoldRDash 3 years ago. I don't like running and I'm petrified of heights! But I did it and I got hooked! I love that the obstacles have different levels to cater to what you can do. There are the good old stand by obstacles and ones that are always a surprise. Lynn and her crew do such an amazing job to make sure it is challenging for the elites yet there are ways for those less capable to get through it. I still don't like running and I still am petrified of heights but I return every time because it's such an amazing OCR and great group of people running it!

This was amazing!! I did go to the boot camp prior to the event, where I met Lynn Hall. She is amazing at motivating you and pushing you beyond what you thought you could do physically! Are you sore after boot camp? Yes! But, it's that kind of sore that makes you want to go week after week before the race. This was my first BoldrDash, and I can't wait for another one!! This is beyond team work too on race day... I can physically climb and get up most walls. But when I get to the top I hate kicking my leg over.. Here I was on race day on top of a 12 foot wall and I couldn't kick my leg over, physically I could but it's the mental of it... A random stranger at the top talked me thru it and continued the climb down with me... It's all about teamwork and coming together for one ultimate goal. I can't wait for the next one! Out of 27 obstacles I probably completed 23 for me I want to go back and do the ones you didn't complete! I recommend this event to push yourself beyond what you thought you could do but also to realize just how strong you already are!!

~ The course was well laid out and fun. The obstacles were varied and some were quite unique. All were solidly built and I didn’t notice anything that could have been a safety hazard. The terrain was also varied. You simply could not be bored on this course because there was a little bit of everything. I ran at 8:55 and all the volunteers that I encountered were encouraging and attentive.
~ The kids course looked amazing! I don’t have kids, but I did stand and watch for a while and their obstacles weren’t a joke! Many of them were the same as the adult obstacles, just scaled down a bit in size. I did notice that the kids course had the inverted walls from last year’s adult course. It was fun watching kids just go for it. The ones I saw didn’t seem to have any fear at all.
Registration was backed up early. There were signs meant to separate runners into categories based on their bib numbers, but they were mounted so low that no one even knew they were there once a few people were standing around. The bib number categories are an excellent way to do things, but the signs need to be higher up or there should be a volunteer directing people.
~ Waivers – This was the biggest sticking point for me. I remembered to print my waiver in advance. However, anyone who didn’t remember was out of luck. We had friends who didn’t have their waivers for whatever reason who were told that they would “… have to go find a Staples and print them out from their email…”. As a group we were told that there were no blank waivers on site. The problems with this are 1) that is a real lack of planning on the race staff because there are always going to be people who forget, even if they tried not to and 2) it wasn’t true. They were taking day of registrations, so there had to be waivers on site. But instead of allowing for mistakes on the part of the athletes
