The 5K Foam Fest obstacle races, mud run, and OCR information, distance, cost, dates, calendar, discounts, obstacles, reviews, and more
Get ready to get FILTHY clean with 5k Foam Fest!
What in the world could possibly be more fun than running through a course chuck full of mud, foam, and obstacles? Running through it with your friends, of course! Check out our video to see how much fun you can have together! Well, you’ll need bodies. So grab your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members and get them registered! Your team can be as big as you want. And remember, the only way to make sure you all get to run in the same wave is to register early and together, so don’t wait! Otherwise we can’t guarantee that you’ll be flying around in foam with your friends.
If you are looking to beat a world record or run so hard that you nearly lose bowel control then you might be disappointed. The 5K Foam Fest is not a hardcore race it is a FUNCORE race. The goal is to have fun while running. We will have a race clock at the end of the race so you can internally take note how fast you ran the race but you will not be given timing chips and we encourage you to focus on the fun aspect of the race rather than the speed.
It is a festival after all!! So be sure to come early and bring your friends and family. We’ve got several activities including our foam pit, mini inflatable obstacle course, and bounce house. We even have activities for the kids at heart! Like our Skyfall (A 25’ drop onto a airbag/stunt bag)!

Awesome event! A lot of fun and well organized
So much fun! I participated in the Sun Peaks Canada 5K Foam Fest race and it was a blast. I really hope I will be able to do it again next year. :):) Keep up the great work Foam Fest Team!
Tons of fun!
This was my first time doing Foam Fest and the best part about it was that my kid could run with me!!!! We've done the Mud Hero as well the past 3 years and love it but not having to do separate races made this event for me!!!!! Fabulously organized and great layout of the trail! My kid loved getting to watch us do obstacles and showing off what he could do!
So excited for July 2017 !! I can't wait.
Awesome fun for the whole family
So much Fun!
So much fun had by all! We aren't a fit bunch, so we walked the entire course and met a lot of people along the way! It was a blast the whole course! The only downside was parking - we waited so long to park, missing our start time (which turned out it didn't matter anyways). Can't wait until next year - my whole family is very excited to participate!
Most fun you can have on a mountain
This was my 3rd year running FoamFest. I typically run 25+ OCR's each year and without fail this one is the most fun! The staff and volunteers are all top notch and the race itself is well planned and well executed. Obstacles are well built and maintained and the energy is un beatable. The slide n slides are by far my favorite!!!! Keep up the great work
Advice
My kids and I have done this event 2 years in a row, and we are planning on making that 3 years.
I would highly recommend it as a fun, wholesome family experience. It helped create a family activity memory to last a life time.
With that said, a few bits of advice:
Even though the event was in late June, up at the ski hill it was cold, with a bitter wind at times. No fault of the planners; That time of year there are also warm days on the hill. Dress warm with layers!! If you too hot, you can always shed something. You will also get wet, so don’t wear clothing that holds water. I found that an athletic pullover that didn’t stay sopping wet worked well.
Bring a full change of dry clothes, including underwear, socks, and shoes. Don’t forget towels.
One note to organisers: the first year we went was at Silver Star. The second was at Sunpeaks. Silver Star had an awesome lily pad run, which was our favorite obstacle. The one at Sunpeaks was not nearly long enough, and we were let down with that part of the course.
Overall, DO IT!
