Course Description:
Held entirely on the Gaylord Hospital campus which features 400 acres of land in rural Wallingford, the Gaylord Gauntlet offers a blend of wooded trail and open field running with 24 natural and man-made obstacles along the way to test an athlete’s strength and endurance. Upper body strength will be featured in some obstacles including a rock wall climb and vine swings.

This is a timed event. Medals will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the following categories:

The Gaylord Gauntlet 5K is a fundraiser to benefit the Gaylord adaptive sports and other programs.
$250 - Participants who raise a minimum of $250 by May 1 will receive a refund on your registration fee.
$500 - Participants who raise $500 by May 1 will receive a refund on your registration fee and a Gauntlet Performance Shirt.
TOP OVERALL Individual Fundraiser - The individual who raises the most money by May 1 will receive a refund on your registration fee and an Apple iPad Mini.
Spectators:
Spectators are free. A festival area will feature a live DJ and food and beverage trucks. A kids’ obstacle course will be open for children aged 5 – 11 who are accompanied by an adult.

All proceeds to benefit the Gaylord Sports Association which provides adaptive sports opportunities for free or low cost to adults with permanent physical or visual impairments.
