Course Description:
It is a blend of wooded trail and open field running with 20 natural and man-made obstacles. Mud will be used sparingly, but upper body strength will be featured in some obstacles including a rock wall climb and vine swings.
Aid Stations:
There will be a first aid station manned by RN's.
There will be several water stations.
There will be an open shower area near the finish line to rinse off.
Awards:
There is an award ceremony with medals for top teams and competitors.
Spectators:
Spectators are free and there are designated areas at the start and finish lines as well as a festival area.
Spectators are not allowed on the actual race course.
Parking:
Parking is ample and free.
Post Party:
There will be a festival area with food trucks, beer and DJ and Bands.
Other:
This event supports the Gaylord Sports Association which provides adaptive sports to people with physical disabilities such as amputations, paralysis, etc.
The program also hosts wounded veteran events.
Sports and activities include adaptive skiing, tennis, golf, archery, kayaking, cycling, rugby, rock climbing, fishing, to name a few.
Team:
Team size is ideal when it is 4-6 individuals so that they can navigate the course more nimbly.
