Course Description:
The Winter Beast is set on an equine x country course so the runners tackle 40 ish obstacles per lap usually tackled by horse and rider.
The jumps are mainly made of wood with 5 water obstacles.
The course includes steep hills and mud.
The course includes steep hills, water, mud, 40 (ish) obstacles usually tackled by animals of a 4 legged variety, water, hills, a couple of surprises, oh and did we mention cold, possibly frozen, water.
Aid Stations:
2 Aid Stations on the course, 1 at the Finish.
Paramedics on the course and at the Finish.
Prizes:
Prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female runners to complete 1 lap or Quit and Prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female runners to complete 2 laps or Double, plus lots of Spot Prizes.
Spectators:
Spectators are free but must remain at the Event Village.
Parking:
Free Parking on site
Post Party:
No Post Party, it's usually too freezing cold!
Music and food, running retailer shop onsite.
Other:
Minimum age is 18 years on event day.
You don't need to be able to swim and you can choose to go around the water obstacles if you like.
'Field Shower' available in the Event Village - ok it's a hosepipe...
Team:
Welcome to race as a team, just sign up for the same way, but there are no official teams.
Teams of 10+ will be offered a free entry.
