Green Beret Challenge We are introducing our endurance challenge to dozens of cities all over the nation while building relationships around the military and civilian communities. Our challenges provide a fun and safe atmosphere of competition that promotes fellowship and personal growth. Founded in 2012, by former Special Forces Operators, the GBC is an array of personal challenges to overcome by exhibiting strength, determination, physical endurance, problem solving and decision making. Challenge your mind, body and spirit along 8 demanding miles. Each course is uniquely developed and specifically built to incorporate some of the most challenging terrain each location has to offer The GBC consists of numerous events that will require the participant to push, pull, carry, climb or crawl their way to the finish line. Military style equipment, water, sand bags, telephone poles and various other obstacles combined with a creative race director are some of the highlights this 8 mile gauntlet offers up for its participants. The pain will be legendary, but the sense of accomplishment will last forever. As an individual and team, the greatest obstacle you will ever face is to accept the challenge! Forge on one step at a time, make it to the finish line and walk away with a symbol of excellence; a badge of courage, a mark of distinction!

Course Description:

The distance will be approximately 5+ miles and will consist of 20+ obstacles, the challenging Hill Country, and of course, some of the GBC staple endurance challenges (or WODs).
We are stoked to bring you The GBC Individual Sprint Series. Each Sprint will host Competitive as well as Open (non-competitive) heats, scaled for the athletes that are solely interested in completing the challenge.
This will be a combination of military style obstacles coupled with our unique GBC endurance challenges, all wrapped into 4 challenging miles.

Awards:

Custom awards for the top 3 elite division finishers, both male & female.
Custom medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in the following age categories: 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and Masters.

Spectators:

GBC does NOT charge for spectators. All spectators are welcome to follow their favorite team along the course, take pictures and encourage them during their more challenging times throughout the event.

Parking:

Parking for this specific event is $5.00 per car. Parking is proximate to the start/finish area, so no shuttles will be required.

Other:

Bring With You : Hydration pack, personal nutritional supplements, cash for parking & merchandise, as well as your signed waiver. Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your wave time for a smooth check in at registration. Personal coolers are welcome.

Take advantage of the GBC family friendly OCR racing ranch and make it a weekend excursion at the Y.O. Ranch Headquarters. Register for a VIP Package that includes a spectator ATV tour that will follow the participants along the race course, preferred parking, lodging and meals throughout the weekend. Also included in the VIP package is an invite to our Friday evening Pre GBC Happy Hour atop the breathtaking Gobblers Knob. VIP packages DO NOT include race entry fees. All VIP registraiton will go through the Y.O Ranch HQ Tourism office.
