Course Description:
The 2015 Sydney STAMPEDE is planned to be at Glenworth Valley on the NSW Central Coast, just one hour north of Sydney and 15 minutes from Gosford. Glenworth Valley is renowned as the birthplace of Australian obstacle racing and is widely regarded by many as the best obstacle course venue in Australia.
Run wild through an epic 5km or 10km obstacle course that will push you to the limit.
Inch your way through thick mud, climb cargo nets, speed down our mega slip & slide and dash through live wires charged with 10,000 volts before washing it all down with a beer.
Aid Stations:
There will be a water station along the course and at the finish line.
Prizes:
There are prizes to be awarded for the best dressed people throughout the day, so wear your most outrageous costume (and one that you don't mind getting muddy!).
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome to come along and watch all the action unfold however spectators must not interfere with participants or attempt to do any of the obstacles. There is no entry fee for spectators to attend the event however spectators will be subject to the $10 parking fee per vehicle.
Parking:
Car parking is available at each event for a $10 fee per car.
We encourage everyone to car pool to save the environment (and money).
The parking fee is payable to the parking attendants on arrival at the event in cash only.
Post Party:
After your run, stick around for THE STAMPEDE's legendary after party presented by Tooheys Extra Dry.
There's a bar and music from 10am where you catch all the action Tooheys Extra Dryfrom the finish line and enjoy the awesome atmosphere that THE STAMPEDE is famous for.
There’ll be food and drink available to purchase to feed the hungry hoardes. Alcohol will be available to purchase at the onsite bar for those over 18 years.
If you wish to purchase alcohol you must have photo ID. Each participant aged over 18 years will receive 1 free Tooheys Extra Dry (over 18s only) or water to enjoy after their run. Please refrain from consuming alcohol until after you've run. If you booze, you lose!
The Stampede is a non-smoking event.
Other:
THE Junior STAMPEDE is a specially designed course for groms aged 5-11.
Junior STAMPEDERS take on a 2km STAMPEDE with 10 kid-friendly obstacles.
Parents can join in the fun and run alongside with their kids in THE Junior STAMPEDE (recommended for young children).
Registration for adults is free of charge, however there is a $6.60 personal accident insurance fee to be paid.
Both adults and children must register for THE Junior STAMPEDE through our registration system.
Entry to The Junior STAMPEDE is only $25 + fees.
Every child receives a STAMPEDE Finishers Medal.
The Junior STAMPEDE will be at 12:10pm at THE STAMPEDE Melbourne and places are limited, so get in quick.
Team:
If you register as part of a team, each team member can choose whether they would like to run either the 5km or 10km course.
It’s not necessary for the team to run the same distance or finish altogether.
To join an existing team, begin your registration as usual and select the option to join a team.
Search for the team name that you want to join and click on the that team's name.
If it shows as a private team you will need to enter the password to continue (contact the team captain for this password).
If the team is a public team you will not require a password.
If you are registering as part of a team, please note that wave times are first in best dressed and we are not able to add additional people into waves times once that wave is sold out, even if the rest of your team is running at that time.referred start time.
