Course Description:
Located in Dorking, Surrey, near London, The Nuts Challenge Mud Run (obstacle course) is an approximately 7km long course with a country mile to start, and is one of the most challenging military style assault courses out there – with around 100 obstacles per 7k!
This course is owned and run by ex-parachute regiment soldiers who take part in various challenges around the world. Designed to push individuals to their limit The Nuts Challenge Mud Run assault course has four distance options for different abilities (7km, 14km, 21km or 28km) and the venue is open all year round for the Mini Nuts Challenge.
The list of obstacles you might encounter include: Hell River, Escape from Arnhem, Hamburger Hill, Good Morning Vietnam, The Bnker, Kamikaze, Tunnel Rats, The Bomb Crater, The Chindits Revenge, A Bridge Too Far, and The Somme.
Aid Stations:
We have separate male and female medical tents.
The onsite paramedic is Want Medical.
We also have volunteers from Surrey Search and Rescue.
There are 3 water stations. Any contestants doing multiple laps can bring snacks and energy drinks for when they lap back round. These can be left at the refuel station as you lap back round.
Spectators:
Friends, family and children can come along and watch. Dogs are also welcome provided they are on a lead.
Parking:
There is plenty of parking at just £3 per car.
Post Party:
You will be able to buy food and drinks throughout the day.
There will be at least 3 food stands available offering burgers, baked potatoes and healthy snacks.
Other:
You must be 14 years old and above. However, 14-16 year olds must be accompanied around the course with a guardian and have a signed disclaimer.
We have 3 to 4 very basic shower heads (cold water). Please bring a towel and a change of clothing along with 2 bin bags to store your dirty clothing.
There is a staffed key drop area where you can leave your keys when you are off on the challenge. Please leave other valuables in your car; the car park is manned by staff all day.
An area is available for you to leave your bags however, this bag drop is not staffed so please leave only non-valuable items. Please do not leave money, cards, keys or phones etc.
You will need to be able to wade through water that may be up to chest height.
if you do not feel confident enough to tackle one of our Nuttie obstacles just walk around it. There are around 100 obstacles in total so you will not be missing out! However, if you are taking part in the Winter Nuts 28k Challenge please read the rules specifically applicable to the Tough Nuts 28k race.
