Course Description:
Anyone who wants to be inspired, challenged, give back to our fallen heroes while getting your butt kicked, and have a BLAST all at the same time, then this is the race for you.
The American Hotshots Extreme Run staff are big fans of Tough Mudder™, and we’ve attended many different obstacle runs. The big two…Tough Mudder and Spartan Race – are the undisputed industry leaders. Our mission is to provide obstacles similar in quality and magnitude, with a few unique twists of our own.
For starters…the 10,000 acre ranch where our event will be held, in the heart of Santa Barbara County’s wine country, will be hard for anybody to compete with. Our signature course will also be designed and built over a 6 month period, giving us unmatched quality control.

Aid Stations:
There will be 4 aid stations and paramedics on site. Water, beer and fruit available at the finish.
Prizes:
Three (3) $2500 Cash Prizes Will Be Awarded To:
- The team with the most participants (must be a team of 8 or more)
- The school athletic department with the most participants *
- The gym with the most participants *
* Please be sure to enter in the name of your gym or high school when submitting your registration form.
Free Drink Vouchers for Team Members
Teams of 3 or more will be given drink vouchers
Teams of 5 or more will be given drink and food vouchers
Teams of 8 or more will be given drink, food vouchers and an Aerial Video of Their Run!*
* The American Hot Shots Extreme Run will be filmed by remote control helicopters!
Spectators:
Spectator fee of $20 with full access to the course and post-party.
Parking:
On-site parking fee of $10. On-site camping available.
Post Party:
Full post-party planned for the event with food, bands, and of course beer.
Other:
100% of the profit will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.
Ages 14 to…let’s say…70
There are 2 kids runs:
Saturday at 1:30pm: Jr. Hotshots (ages: 9-13) 1 Mile Obstacle Run
Saturday at 2:00pm: Mini Hotshots (ages: 5-8) 1/2 Mile Obstacle Run
Each child receives a t-shirt and medal to commemorate the event!
Enjoy hot showers at the end of the race.
