Course Description:
Prepare yourself for a brand new experience! The Bushido Challenge is 6+ miles of varied terrain and 17+ unique obstacles themed around the ancient Bushido ways.
In addition to the terrain and obstacles we have something not often seen in this sport. At the beginning of the event, each participant will be given 2 flags (with the option to purchase 3 additional) and they will need to maintain them through the finish line to receive the coveted bushido warrior finisher medal. Ninjas will be hidden throughout the course looking for moments of weakness to sneak in and steal your flags or ""life force"". If you manage to lose all your flags to the various course hazards you will receive the fallen warrior finisher medal.
Aid Stations:
Aid stations at mile 2 and each mile after.
We will have amphibious medics at course for logistics and local EMS
there will be fruit/water/gu
Awards:
Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in both men & womens.
$3500 in cash and (2) samurai swords
Spectators:
Spectators free - don't interfere with race
Parking:
$10. We recommend carpooling. This lot is in the venue - no shuttles
Post Party:
There will be music/food/vendors, and a sumo suit arena with a tournament and prizes/prestige
Other:
We will give 1% of proceeds to Operation Enduring Warrior
Minimum age 14
Timed event
You should be able to swim short distances

Private gender specific tents and good showers and area for nursing/pumping mothers/spectators
