Green Beret Challenge We are introducing our endurance challenge to dozens of cities all over the nation while building relationships around the military and civilian communities. Our challenges provide a fun and safe atmosphere of competition that promotes fellowship and personal growth. Founded in 2012, by former Special Forces Operators, the GBC is an array of personal challenges to overcome by exhibiting strength, determination, physical endurance, problem solving and decision making. Challenge your mind, body and spirit along 8 demanding miles. Each course is uniquely developed and specifically built to incorporate some of the most challenging terrain each location has to offer The GBC consists of numerous events that will require the participant to push, pull, carry, climb or crawl their way to the finish line. Military style equipment, water, sand bags, telephone poles and various other obstacles combined with a creative race director are some of the highlights this 8 mile gauntlet offers up for its participants. The pain will be legendary, but the sense of accomplishment will last forever. As an individual and team, the greatest obstacle you will ever face is to accept the challenge! Forge on one step at a time, make it to the finish line and walk away with a symbol of excellence; a badge of courage, a mark of distinction!

Course Description:

The Green Beret Challenge will host its first independent championship caliber race. The race spans 12 hours and cash prizes will be awarded to the top male/female, completing the most laps.

The course is called the 'Crazy 8'. It's an 8-mile loop with a taste of adventure racing, obstacle course racing and our signature endurance challenges. Registration for 2018 is open to everyone. There will not be a mandatory qualification process for this race. There will be only 1 wave for this race. The first lap will be a trail run only, to spread out the competitors. The second lap will require all participants to fully engage the course. Mandatory lap times will be enforced after all participants complete their second lap.

Aid Stations:

Two aid stations on course, roving medics and numerous hydration stations throughout the course.

Awards:

There will be $5,000 for the top male & female overall finisher. Custom awards for the top 3 finishers overall, both male & female.

Spectators:

There will be a $10 entry free per person for the event, which will also provide access to the post party.

Parking:

$10 per vehicle

Post Party:

GBC will be hosting a bad ass post event party, so plan to hang around with us all evening. DJ Jambo will spinning your favorite music all night while you enjoy cold adult beverages and brisket.

Other:

Minimum age for this event is 16 years old. There will not be any swimming, but there will be water crossings. The participants will have their own PIT area to manage themselves during the 12 hour race. The event does not require a PIT Crew. There is a full bath house on site for all participants.

Team:

No official team race for this event.
