The IMPI Challenge is an adrenaline-charged experience, no matter what your level of capability or fitness is. It’s an opportunity to play like a kid and challenge yourself, while having fun.
The IMPI Challenge is so popular because anyone can participate. The entry categories cater for a variety of athletes, from elite sportspersons, competent and beginner runners and families looking for a fun experience.

Course Description:

The entire IMPI course contains approximately 28 obstacles:
Elite IMPI’s complete all obstacles on their route
IMPI Challengers complete approximately 18
IMPI Dash complete approximately 9
IMPI Mini have their own course, with supervised obstacles.
Obstacles challenge you on a multitude of levels and create an adventure on safe, natural and man-made obstacles.

Aid Stations:

IMPI has a team of medics at the ready and life guards at the water obstacles
Water points every 3km
Coke and water at the finish line

Awards:

The Elite category is the only official category with prize money. The prize purse is R5000 each for the first male and first female in.

Spectators:

Let your fans cheer you on and witness your awesomeness on the marked spectator route that covers a minimum of 6 obstacles. Plus its totally free.

Parking:

Parking will be available at all venues at no charge.

Other:

Enter individually or in teams; your friends may need to help you with some obstacles.
Elite are expected to complete all obstacles on their own.
An entry category for any level of fitness, even a kids only course
Impi is timed using LiveTime timing chips
There are swimming obstacles
IMPI has a bag drop area that will keep your stuff for you until you need it
There is food and drinks available so stay the day

Team:

Teams are welcomed and encouraged.
No special scoring, but you can track your time against your team mates and other teams.
