Course Description:
Ultra-Trail Fuego y Agua Nicaragua is a unique series of trail runs like no other. It is not going to be easy to make it to the finish line and by saying this, we do not mean to scare you, but rather we want you to be as prepared as you can possible be. You will have the opportunity to run around, up and down 2 volcanoes in a small island in Nicaragua. Ometepe is located right in the middle of Lake Nicaragua, it has all it needs to have an epic run. The terrain includes dirt trail, sandy beach, paved road, and very technical single track trail, a chaotic web of trees, disappearing trail and mud. And the ascent and descent to Concepcion and Madera’s volcanoes. Over 6000mts of elevation gain and 3 distances to choose from. Challenge yourself in an epic run in one of the most exotic places in the world.

Drop Bags are allowed at the Start/Finish Only. All Drop bags must be in a sturdy marked bag, and visibly tagged as (FYA-STATION NAME-LAST NAME-BIB #).
Runners are NOT allowed to take rides of any sort during the course of the race. Motorcycles, Bicycles, Cars, Trucks, Horses, Cows, etc. are NOT allowed!
Runners who wish to drop out (DNF) of the race MUST report to the nearest Aid Station race official immediately. This is imperative! Otherwise we will be out looking for you.
Throwing trash out on the course is prohibited! Any runner found leaving trash on the course will be Immediately Disqualified!
Runners who drop from the race are not guaranteed a ride back to the start/finish immediately. If near an Aid Station location, runners can ride with the volunteers once the station is packed up. Buses are also available throughout the island. Taxis can be arranged for pickup at the runner's cost.
