Sacramento Zombie Run Two weeks ago, the capitol of California was infected with a devastating plague that turns the living into horrifying undead zombies. The virus, AD857, attacks the human blood and Neurological system and turns anyone that is infected by it into a flesh-eating Zombie. This dreadful virus has infected half of the Sacramento area’s population. It is transmitted through a Zombie caused puncture wound, whether it was caused by a bite, cut, gash or scratch it is 100% infectious.

The Center for Disease Control has titled this plague in Sacramento as an epidemic and has set up quarantine at Miller Park to prevent the disease from spreading. It is urged that the unaffected population of the Greater Sacramento Area does whatever they can to get to the quarantined area safely. Do not stay locked up in your house hiding on the couch.

Course Description:

You will crawl, jump, climb, and run through man-made and natural obstacles while zombies are chasing after you. You will start with 3 flags, which are your “lives”, and the objective is to cross the finish line into the Quarantine Party (safety zone) with at least one of your flags still intact. If you lose all your flags, you die and the zombies win. Hint: There may be an opportunity to gain back a life.

Once you’ve made it across the finish line, you can relax and enjoy a beer, food and entertainment. You’ve made it to safety and you’re still alive!

Tickets are $5 each and will give you access to watch your friends and family get dirty and scared to death as they maneuver through obstacles and zombies! Your ticket also gives you access into the Quarantine Party. Children under 10 are free.

Post Party:

You have made it to Quarantine. Let’s celebrate!! There will be live entertainment, food, adult beverages, games, zombie/people-watching, shopping for all your Zombie Apocalypse tools and kits, zombie vendors and other zombie related fun stuff. There will be a beer garden, so you will need to be 21 years or older to partake in the beverages. You will be ID’d and given a wristband. Have fun!

We will have local food trucks onsite next to the Quarantine party area. They will be there by 8am to purchase food and drinks. Be sure to check out our great selection!

Other:

Benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

You must be at least 15 years or older to register

You will be covered in mud, zombie guts, body parts, and other apocalyptic liquids after the race so bring a towel and change of clothing (especially socks and clean shoes to change into)

Feel free to bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket if you want to stick around and catch some of our live entertainment

Team:

No teams, you have to run for YOUR life. Everyone fends for themselves.
