Course Description:
The Summit To Swamp Obstacle Mud Run will have between 30 and 50 natural and man-made obstacles over a scenic course in the foothills of the Big Bottom Valley. The course gains over 400 feet of elevation in less than a 1/4 mile. The flat land is full of fun (and dirty…and wet) obstacles.
This run is designed to be a test of grit for those who want it, yet fun for the whole family. We will have terrain and obstacles that will test strength, agility, speed, stamina, and more…some tough, and some just plain fun.
There will be a Competitive Jackpot Race with a Men’s Division and a Women’s Division. A cash pot will be divided by percentage to the first 5 places of each Division.
The Open Obstacle Course is open to everyone who registers for it. There is no age limit, but an adult must accompany any participant age 12 and under unless a Parental Wavier has been obtained. It is not a competition and there are no penalties. All participants will have Unlimited Run (and unlimited FUN) for about 3 hours.
The Obstacle Team Challenge requires a team of 4 persons. This is a competition. Each team will compete in a short timed course consisting of obstacles that must be completed as a team.
The Team Trail Challenge will also require a team of 4 persons. This is a competition. This will be a trail run that must be started and finished as a team, with checkpoints along the way.
The Competitive Jackpot Trail Race is a 10K and will have a Men’s Division and a Women’s Division. A cash pot will be divided by percentage to the first 5 places of each Division.
The Open Trail Course is an individual event with a 5K or 10K option. This will be a trail run only, with no man-made obstacles, but will cover a wide variety of terrain. This is not a competition.
The K9 Trail Course will be a special heat for those who want to do the trail course with their furry running buddy. Participants may choose the 5K or 10K option. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. This is not a competition.
The Weekend High Point Competition will include: Jackpot Obstacle Race, Open Obstacle Course (one lap plus a PT section), Team Trail Course, Team Obstacle Course, Jackpot 10K Trail Race
