Heroes Challenge The Heroes Challenge is roughly 4 miles of police/fire/EMS themed obstacles. This race benefits the non-profit organization Supporting Heroes, which provides financial and peer support to the families of first responders killed in the line of duty. It's a unique, challenging, fun, first annual event that's open to runners age 14-114. It's also a spectator event for those who choose not to run. We are having an emergency vehicle show and the Hot Hat fire helmet contest. We're looking forward to a fantastic event!!

Course Description:

Be prepared for roughly 4 miles of flat and hilly terrain filled with around 20 obstacles. The obstacles are not being released to the public yet to keep with the police/fire/EMS theme. When responders get a call, they never know what to expect. There will be jumping, crawling, climbing, water, mud...and paint.

Aid Stations:

Each obstacle will be manned by a police/fire/rescue department. There is also a Recovery Area at the finish line.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome and free. There will be an emergency vehicle show as well as the Hot Hat fire helmet contest and other family friendly features.

Parking:

Parking is free in downtown Pikeville.

Other:

Heroes Challenge is a chip timed obstacle race full of police/fire/EMS themed obstacles. It benefits Supporting Heroes, a non-profit organization that provides financial and peer support to the families of first responders killed in the line of duty. The race is chip timed. Please come prepared. Wear comfortable clothing you don't mind getting messy. There will be water, mud...and paint.
