Course Description:
True Grit full course is the OG challenge; stretched out over 10km+, participants will tackle 30+ obstacles to cross that finish line victorious and earn that finisher t-shirt.
The half course is perfect for beginners, or those starting out on a fitness journey or perhaps returning to one. With 5km, packed full of 15+ obstacles, this is a great way to test the gritty waters before taking on the full course. You'll still earn a t-shirt when you cross the finish line, but you'll get a specialised 'Half Course' t-shirt - you'll have to earn the Full finishers one next time!
Some of the obstacles along the course include: The Somme, tire wall, The Ramp, Sandbag Carry, Pontoon Bridges, Ninja Bars, Monkey Bars, and there is a 'mystery' obstacle for our Elite wave only on each course - to be revealed the morning of the event at your briefing at the Start line.
Aid Stations:
Paramedics will be onsite. There will also be water stations along the course.
Awards:
Prize money on offer to 1st Male and 1st Female in the elite wave.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome for FREE!
Parking:
Parking provided for $10 per vehicle with special areas for mini-buses and coaches.
Post Party:
We have chill out areas for you, so you don't have to rush off! Sit back and relax after you've done the course - grab some food from our food vendors, a drink from the bar and listen to the music as you cheer on the gritters heading out on course.
Team:
Enter as a team to take on the True Grit course together and make a day of it! We love to see some team t-shirts or group costumes out on course... and they always make for great pictures! Don't want to take on a particular obstacle? Don't worry! There's no penalty for any failed or missed obstacle with True Grit.
Your team can be as big as you want with a minimum of 2 people per team.
Kids Race:
All race participants need to be a minimum of 16 years of age for the FULL course and a minimum of 12 years of age for the HALF course. Anyone under 18 years of age will need to have a guardian or parent sign a waiver for participation. Children must be supervised at all times.
