If you are ready to tackle the Laurel Highlands, Mud on the Mountain is the event for you. Join scores of others as you test what you are made of on the slopes at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, the largest ski and four season resort in Pennsylvania. Across more than seven miles of body-breaking terrain you will traverse ponds, scale boulder fields, climb your way over obstacles and claw your way up impossible inclines, all on your way to a triumphant finish atop the largest snow pile you will see anywhere in the middle of spring. After working to destroy your body, stick around for the Recovery Party in the Foggy Goggle, pamper yourself in the Trillium Spa and dine in one of the resort’s amazing restaurants, including Helen's, which offers upscale dining in a uniquely rustic setting. We are going to add some more great obstacles to the May version of Mud on the Mountain and we are going to add more MUD to everything. We plan to offer more than 20 chances for you to test your strength and get filthy in the process. Details to come. Only one obstacle has water deep enough that it MAY require swimming. We will have personal floatation devices that can be used there if a competitor feels that they need it. There will be certified lifeguards on duty at all water locations.
Spectators:
Visitor passes will be for sale at the event, allowing family members and spectators to travel to the top of the course via the chair lifts. The $10 passes are free with any on-resort lodging.
Parking:
We have parking for thousands of cars on the mountain. Help the environment, and help ease the congestion on the mountain, by riding with a friend. If you are staying with us on the mountain you will have reserved parking near the hotel.
Post Party:
After pushing your body to its limits, you will need to celebrate your accomplishments and unwind. Stick around after the event for the Recovery Party at the Foggy Goggle! Trade battle stories with your comrades, show off your battle wounds, and enjoy the cold beverages or the Recovery Buffet and live entertainment!. Popular Pittsburgh based DJ Zimmie will get you off to a rocking start at the starting line ready for a hard charge up the mountain. In the evening, DJ Zimmie will be rocking the Matterhorn.
