Race Start Time:
The number of heats depend upon the amount of runners. The first heat will start at 10:00am and any following heats will occur every fifteen minutes after.

Course Description:
The course consists of approximately 3 miles of wooded and hilly terrain that winds across bottom lands and a creek. The obstacles are, both man made and made by nature, and will challenge the most experienced mud runner. The 20 acre village is home to approximately 17 structures including a school house, homesteads, a blacksmith shop, and carriage house. The run will begin at the General Store and continue around the pond, through the woods and across the creek. You may not want to linger at the jail but hurry to cross the finish line.
Aid Stations:
Paramedics will be on standby and there will be two water stations along the mud route.
Awards:
There will be an award ceremony with custom made trophies going to the top winner in each of the following categories: M/F 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29,30-34, 35-39, 40-44,45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60-65
Prizes:
There will also be trophies awarded to the best costume.
Spectators:
Spectators are free. There will be plenty of room to watch some of the race and take pictures of your favorite participant.
Parking:
Parking is free! The idea is to have a little extra money to buy some food and have a good time.
Post Party:
There will be a DJ on hand to play your favorite music.
Other:
There will also be tent and cabin camping on a first come first serve basis. The Pioneer Village consists of several pioneer style cabins. There will be limited outdoor showers on site and packet pickup will be Oct 6th 5pm-7pm at Independence Pioneer Village and race day packet pick up will be 8am-9:30am
Team:
Teams can run together, however, there will not be a team race. we will possible implement this in future runs.
