Course Description:
The course is an adventure style woods single track trail, with open sections in large fields where runners will encounter as many as 20-25 obstacle for the 5K and 10-15 for the 1/2 mile mini. Participants will run, jump, climb, crawl and scramble through a mix of natural obstacle like creeks and logs, and man made walls, mud pits, and more. The best training for this course is Sprint Interval training, because obstacles are about at least every 2-3 minutes along the course. Of previous event runners surveyed from 2013, 100% would recommend the race to a friend.
Aid Stations:
Paramedics will be on standby. Water stations will be on the 5k course.

Spectators:
Spectatros are free to watch the race and enjoy the live music, food and beer in our festival area. We have a great spectator viewing field that overlooks an obstacle bowl and the finish line.
Parking:
Parking is just $5/car. All parking is just a short walk to the festival and start/finish line. In an effort to keep our footprint to just mud, we encourage carpooling!
Post Party:
We will have live music, food from local restaurants, and beer from local brewery.
Other:
The Montessori Mudstacle is a Mud/Obstacle run with a 1/2 mile fun run, and a 5K chip timed race. This event is a fundraiser to benefit Montessori at Sandy Ford, a 501 c 3 non profit school serving Catawba County for over 31 years. This event is open for anyone ages 3 and up, and Individual and Team entries are permitted. The inaugural event sold out, and the 2014 event is expected to as well.Early Bird Registration ends feb. 28, and then pricing will increase. Registration closes April 1, or when maximum participant number is reached.
Team:
Teams (of 4) and individuals are permitted to entry both the mini mudstacle (1/2 mile) and the 5K Race.
Teams will save money over entering as individuals.
