Course Description:
We look for locations that offer a variety of terrain, dramatic vistas and viewpoints, and are naturally spectacular. Locations must provide access for placing obstacles, present a variety of design capabilities/ options, and enable us to move competitors, spectators, obstacles and equipment fluidly and safely.
Course elements vary from 9′ walls and 1/4 pipes, to steep ascents, fast descents, narrow trail runs and everything in between (did we mention mudd?!). We strive to design and construct a balanced course, that provides optimum challenge to participants, while being tough, yet achievable for all levels of competitor. Obstacles are architecturally designed (literally), construction is supervised by carpenters where appropriate, and all courses are tested, then refined, then tested again.
Here at Mudd, Sweat & Tears we’re all about Mother nature and organic course design. We use the best of each sites natural features to create the most challenging, interesting and kick your a.. style mud run obstacle course possible.
You won’t find flame throwers, barbed wire, dressed up extras or other artificial gimmicks at our mud races. Instead, Mudd, Sweat & Tears brings you natural elevation, wooden obstacles to test your limits, and all-natural challenges.
We believe that mud running is about taking on Mother Nature and everything she has in store, in order to challenge body, determination and readiness. Rewarding, heart breaking and menacing – the way Mother Nature and Mudd, Sweat & Tears are meant to be.
We’ll have natural elevation, monkey bars, tire traps, walls, quarter pipes and other wooden structures for your enjoyment. And the piece de resistance… mudd!
No Gimmicks. Just you, Mother Nature and “running with attitude” at Mudd, Sweat & Tears.
Aid Stations:
There will be aid stations strategically positioned throughout the course, which will have water, bananas, and sports drinks. We will not be providing bottles of water, or sports drinks at these stations due to environmental reasons, and will be providing these beverages in 100% recycled paper cups.

There are prizes for the best individuals and the best teams - and some surprises. The award ceremony will take place after the last heat of the race has finished.
