Course Description:
The course follows the Prairie Loop Trail then connects to the Beach Loop which takes you down to the beach and across the beach to the Cattail Trail. Then finishes with a run down to the old boat ramp and back to the starting area. The Prairie Loop is a hilly run through a grassy path. The Beach Loop is a long down hill stretch mostly on the paved bike path. The beach will be sandy and wet should you choose. The Cattail Trail is mostly flat and grassy. The run to the boat ramp and back is mostly hard packed sand with an uphill run to the finish.
You can opt to do the full course as a timed runner or a portion of the course as a just have fun runner.
The obstacles are high on the fun factor and low on the risk factor.

The Chanhassen Fire Department will be there as our first responders.

Parking is free, but we do recommend car pool as parking is limited.

Other:
Held at beautiful Lake Minnewashta Regional Park, the course is appropriate for various athletic abilities (designed for ages 10+). The full course is a bit longer than a 5k, with a shorter options for kids and adults who aren’t sure if they want to do the entire course. We also have the Mini-Tonka Mud Race for younger children. Whatever your goal, you’ll have fun and know that you’re helping a good cause too.
Join us for this family-friendly event that combines fun, exercise, time outdoors, and raising money to support Kids Against Hunger-West Metro. KAH-WM is a non-profit organization and is committed to inspiring, engaging, and educating people, starting with our children, by packaging life-saving meals that ease world hunger.
