Pretty Muddy Pretty Muddy was started by a couple of businessmen who were inspired by their wives - their pretty cool wives. Watching their partners juggle kids, households, carpools and careers - while still having time for the ocvcasional ladies' night - got the men thinking: These awesome women deserve more time for themselves. Time for balance and time to be themselves without their families. Because even the greatest mom, businesswoman, or grandma sometimes needs time that is just her own. Like those pretty cool wives, today's women are looking for a way to get together and focus on friendship, hun and fitness - without their significant others, their kids and the stress of the daily grind. With the help of their wives and an incredible team of creatve and motivated people, the two businessmen create an inaugural series of events called Pretty Muddy. More than a mud run, it's an exciting women-only event where you can let down your hair and have fun! And that's pretty awesome. Why run through 5k of outdoor terrain, scale obstacles, and get covered in more mud than you kids will bring home all summer? Why recruit your frineds for an exciting experience? Why take on a challenge you've never done before and leave knowing you could do it again? Why do something for you for a change? Why run a Pretty Muddy? Why wouldn't you?

Course Description:

Architectural Obstacles (much better than shabby hay bales and shaky plywood). The obstacles were built with “fun” being our number one objective. Some will challenge you a little, some might challenge you a lot – but we’ll be there every step of the way to help you through it.

Aid Stations:

There will be at least two out on the course. If it’s really hot, we’ll add a few more. We want to make sure that everyone is well hydrated.

Wear whatever you feel comfortable exercising in, as long as you don’t mind it getting dirty. Bring a fresh set of comfortable clothes (including shoes) to change into after your wave. Don’t forget to include a plastic bag (to stash your muddy gear), waterproof sunscreen (sunburn and mud are not a good look) and a towel to dry off. There will be plenty of bathrooms on site, showers to rinse off and private changing areas so you can get clean and enjoy the day.

We’ll have a variety of food and beverages available for purchase throughout the day, along with some pretty awesome gear.

No pets. Really, who wants to drive home with a wet, muddy dog?

In each event market, Pretty Muddy identifies Pretty Preferred Partners, organizations that believe in the spirit of Pretty Muddy and have local connections to the community.

With these local partners, Pretty Muddy will donate $5 for each registration that uses the customized registration link developed just for these partner programs. But the Pretty Preferred Partner also will win if anyone signs up, as Pretty Muddy will donate 2.5% of each additional entry fee to the local Pretty Preferred Partner.

You’ll need to be at least 15 years young by the day of the event. Like always, if you are under 18, you’ll need to have a guardian present – so bring your mom, and grandmom – they’ll both love it.

It is not a timed event. If you want to race the course, then we fully support that. You can take as much time out there as you like. If you love an obstacle and want to do it again – go for it!

You don't have to do every obstacle. Every obstacle will have a sign showing you around it. Only do the ones you feel comfortable doing and don’t feel bad going around a few – this is your day, do what you want to do.

We’ll have places for you to rinse off and change.

As much as we love animals, we ask that you please leave them at home. However, service animals are welcome anytime!

We will provide a secure area where participants can check their gear while they are out playing in the mud.

Team:

Simply put, it’s fun to get Pretty Muddy together. When you register, you’ll see where you can select and join a team or make up a new one. Go ahead and be clever with your team name. Your team can be as big as you want it to be. The more the merrier! Each wave will have approximately 200 participants – so try to fill it with friends, family and co-workers.
