Mud Trax Run The MudTraxRun is a production of the LiveFit Connect Gym’s outdoor series, the OutdoorJunkeez. We begin at our favorite charity, the Peaceful Ridge Rescue farm of Davie where 80+ horses are adopted, fed and cared for, including some of the retired horses from various law enforcement branches. We want to bring our runners and their families to this place as a means of exposing the great work they do as well as provide a fabulous venue for our outdoors junkies.

We intentionally choose off-beat locations with a charity angle. We want the runners to enjoy a portion of the county that they may not otherwise ever see, and show them the great works of a local charity. It does not matter rain or shine, the run is on, the muddier the better. And remember that $10 of your registration fee goes to the Peaceful Ridge Horse Rescue.

Course Description:

The run begins at 8am at the PRR facility, goes down Peaceful Ridge Road, and crosses a bridge in the Davie nature preserve. We will include a loop of the horse farm, Including barrels in the pathways, a pair of hill climbs, and many puddles, as well as some horse-obstacles, jump-gates and the like. After the run, enjoy a less strenuous tour of the rescue farm where you can meet the horses and see how the volunteers care for them, and pet and ride them. Bring the kids for morning of education and horseback, then truck over 3 miles to the gym stay for the refreshments and sandwiches, and the awards ceremony.

Aid Stations:

There will be refreshments and paramedics on standby.

Awards:

The winners will receive surprise rewards.

Spectators:

Spectators are free. The spectators area will be roped off from the actual race.

Parking:

Parking is free.

Other:

$10 of the registration goes to the horse rescue farm where the run will take place. The minimum age is 13 years old.
