Course Description:
The Challenge is a 5 mile mud and obstacle run, that we hope will test your mind as well as your body. Yes we have military grade obstacles, but we also have brain busting logic puzzles throughout the course. Then right at the finish you get to meet The Ultimate Challenge, a combination of 7 major obstacles merged into one beast. The Ultimate Challenge is a series of seven major obstacles right at the finish line. These are all merged into one monster obstacle that is spread out over 300+ feet. You will have one shot at The Ultimate Challenge. If you fall, slip or just give up at any point, then that is it, you must leave the obstacle and continue onto the hidden “surprise challenge” then on to the finish line. Conquer that and we have the final secret challenge that no one has ever attempted at one of these races.
- 5 miles of flat & mountain bike trails for your running, walking or crawling pleasure
- River / lake swim (with non swimmer option)
- Monkey bar traverse over a mud / quicksand pit (yes quicksand)
- Zip lining over a river (or just swim across it)
- The hatchet throw (Yup you get to throw axes)
- Blackout tunnel. A dark semi submerged smoke filled underground tunnel
- Rope challenges (cargo nets, swings etc.)
- Logic puzzles / brain teasers (got to exercise your mind also)
- The Zapper. Our electrifying steady hand challenge
- Quicksand pit (no seriously we have the recipe)
- “The Hurricane” Think large slippy surface, water coming at you and a couple of airboat engines
- Tarred & feathered. A mud crawl, then balance beams over a pit of feathers
- The ULTIMATE CHALLENGE: a series of obstacles spanning over 300ft. One shot only at this beast.
Parking:
$10. We have a huge parking lot right next to the event. No more being ferried around on shuttle buses. Just park up and walk over to the main event area. Parking is $10.00 cash only.
Other:
A portion of all registration fees go to our chosen charity.
We will also have some mini mud runs for the kids. A 100 / 200 meter mini obstacle course with mud pit for the 4 – 6 year old group. A full 1k version for the 7 – 12 year old group. Tons of smaller but still fun obstacles and of course, tons of mud.
Please do not bring any alcoholic drinks to the event. Beer will
be available at the event for after the event and for any spectators
that fancy a cold one.
In
your registration package will be a few items and one will be your
race timing chip. This will (generally) be attached to your sneaker
(instructions are included).
This chip will know exactly when you start and finished the race.
Unfortunately it will not help you run any faster or longer, sorry.
The data collected will be automatically recorded and added to our results page and viewable a few days after the race.
