Course Description:
This thrill seeking adventurous course includes many natural obstacles set in the natural rugged terrain of Moygownagh with mud being the common denominator! Mayo Mud Run is a challenge for all fitness levels, the more hard core experienced athletes will find this varied course a tough challenge. It will test their stamina and endurance. They will be looking to win the race or record a good time!
Whereas the not so hard core ""occasional"" athlete (the vast majority of entrants) will also be physically tested, all the while enjoying a dirty fun day out.
Aid Stations:
There will be medical support on the day. First Aiders and First Aid Stations will be out on the course along with ambulance on site.
Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd men/women. An Award ceremony will be held to present the prizes on the day and many spot prizes will be on offer.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome only at the community centre and along road, no spectators on field/forest/part of the course
Parking:
Parking is free and will be available in & around the community centre. Parking stewards will be on hand to assist you.
Other:
Minimum age is 16 years on day of run (with parental consent). Limited showers, unlimited water (first come, first serve for hot water) /toilets/hose down area as you will get dirty… It is a Mud Race !!
Team:
Welcome to race as a team, just sign up for the same way, but there are no official teams.
