Course Description:
For the first time ever, Rough Runner is going Urban!
The awesome backdrop of Salford Quays, the media hub of the North West of England, will provide an entirely new obstacle experience. Taking place around the waters of the Media City area, we will be hosting a shorter, obstacle-packed course, so you don’t need to be a fitness nut to take on the challenge. And you don’t even need to leave Manchester’s city centre! The Rough Runner event is the brain child of a group of us who always wanted to go on Gladiators. Turns out we didn’t do enough steroids, so we built our own course instead!
2.5km course: 10-12 unique obstacles. 100-300m or so between each. Fun focused, 2.5km total distance, 16+ years only
5km course: 2 laps of the 2.5km route. Up to 24 obstacles! 100-300m or so between each. 16+ years only
Aid Stations:
Water all the way through the course.
There will be medical services close to hand all through the site, with off-road vehicles to carry you back to the village if you need.
Spectators:
Spectators are free!

The runners’ village will have food and drink outlets while for you buddies when finish!
