Fitathlon Challenge Fitathlons are for everyone, from those whom are looking to have fun and enjoy the obstacles to serious athletes, looking to capture the purse. We divide the participants up so you participate with other fitathletes who share similar goals. It doesn’t matter if you’re a newbie, beginner, challenger, competitor, or super competitor you’re bound to have a great experience and be challenged like never before. We also have a kids (6-12) heat and a Middle/High School heat so the entire family can join in on the fun.

A Fitathlon is not a Tough Mudder or Spartan Race or any other event that includes mud, fire, water or electrocution!!!! NONE OF THAT STUFF!!! While we do have obstacles the comparison ends there. Your heart rate will get up and stay up the entire race. Your legs will feel like jello and you will be exhausted when you finish but you’ll be thrilled with your accomplishment.

Course Description:

You’ve heard of a triathlon – Run, Bike and Swim. You’ve heard of a decathlon – 10 track and field events. Welcome to a new sport called the Fitathlon. A Fitathlon is a fitness challenge that tests your muscle strength, cardiovascular endurance, athleticism and mental toughness. A Fitahlon Challenge has 15-20 obstacles that take place over a 5k or 10k distance. The obstacles fall into a variety of categories:

Aid Stations:

There will be 5 water and aid stations throughout the course and fruit at the finish.

Spectators:

No cost – We’re not like the other events.
Spectators may move around the course but must stay clear of the participants.
Complimentary entry into the health and wellness festival.

Parking:

$10 on site

Post Party:

Fitathlon Challenge will be hosting the 1st Annual CT 5k Obstacle Run and Brew Fest fundraiser at Manchester Community College to help raise money for the MCC Veteran's Educational Programs and Scholarships! At this event, you can take on one of the most challenging obstacle courses in the country and/or sample a variety of beers from 15-20 local breweries. The brewfest will follow the Fitathlon Challenge from 12-4pm. Guaranteed to be a great time.

Other:

We donate a portion of our proceeds to a local charity.
