Course Description:

One Tough Cookie's course was created by Operation Iraqi Freedom Women Veterans. Don't let that scare you - You don't have to be a super athlete to finish this event! Our event will challenge you, but our first emphasis is on fun. One Tough Cookie isn't a timed event so you don't have to feel rushed! The course runs on grass, hiking trails, and farmland. There are some hills throughout the course but nothing all of our One Tough Cookies can't handle.

Aid Stations:

First Aid station will be available near the start/finish area. Along the course volunteers will have access to radios if first aid is needed. Paramedics will be on standby during the event.

A water station is on the course about halfway through your trek. The finish line will have water and snacks available as well as the after race party with food and beverages.

Prizes:

We will have prizes for:
Largest Troop
Best Troop Name
Best Troop Costume
Best Individual Costume
Participant that Traveled the Farthest

What will you win? Cookies, of course... this is a Girl Scout benefit after all! Winners will be announced throughout the day and again at 3:00 PM.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome and encouraged. There will be a designated viewing area on the course and you might sneak a peak of your runner as they zip through our trails. We welcome you to join your group for the after race party and have some food and beverages. Since you didn't participate as a Tough Cookie you won't get any freebies, sorry! But you might want to wear some clothes that you don't mind getting dirty...One Tough Cookies love to share the mud!

Parking:

Parking is very limited and comes at a premium price of $10 per parking space. We highly encourage you to save money, gas and the environment by stuffing your car full of your friends (legally of course)! Parking is at a lot approximately 2 miles East of the race. Shuttle buses will bring you up to the race.

Post Party:

Live Music - Come for the run, stay for the fun! Our live music stage will be rocking tunes you'll be singing along with! Heck, go ahead and dance if you want to. We are here to have fun!

Libations - A mud run isn't complete without the chance to toast your success! Each participant will receive a free drink at the after race celebration. Not into adult beverages? No problem, we'll have plenty of other choices.

Food - I bet you're going to be hungry after surviving 3.1 muddy wet miles. Don't worry; we'll have plenty of tasty food for you to refuel with when you are finished. We hope to publish our food vendors prior to the event.

Merchandise - Don't go home until you stop by the One Tough Cookie clothing booth. We will have plenty of your favorite must haves like OTC vintage T's and hoodies.

Other:

We encourage you to check out our website for all of our FAQ's.

You have the privilege of knowing you are participating in the only mud run that is 100% charitable and local, with all proceeds benefiting Girl Scouts of Wisconsin - Badgerland Council

Team:

First, get all your friends together to decide on a wave start time. Have the Leader register on www.active.com and set up the Troop name. Then each troop member needs to register for that same wave and troop before the wave fills up. Once a wave is closed, it's too late to join that wave. We cannot add additional runners due to safety reasons. We will update you through Facebook when a wave is getting close to closing. Troop Leaders must be age 18 or older.
