Course Description:
The Mustang Mud Run features a 5K (3.1 miles) obstacle course, situated on the beautiful campus of Madison Academy in Madison, Alabama, will challenge participants with 18-22 obstacles along and through Indian Creek and the adjacent wooded areas of our campus.
Some of the obstacles will include; Tarzan Twist, Leap of Faith, Mud Pits, Goliath, Walls of Jericho, Belly Crawl, Swamp Sludge, Back Slider, and Grime Climb. Come sprint your way across the floating pontoons, feel like a kid again, swinging through this 3 lane obstacle, climb your way to the top of the mud mound only to find another one on the other side, then slide your way through 20 feet of mud on your back side, race your friend to the end but don’t fall off that 8″ plank and climb your way to the top of the 12 foot tire wall. When you get to the top you’ll say Hole-y Moley at the view, what an experience!
Aid Stations:
We will have a water station on the course and at the finish line, there will be no concessions available. Medical support staff will also be on site.
Prizes:
The largest team wins the Muddy Team Trophy.
Spectators:
Spectators are free to enter but there are portions of the course that they may not go on. We welcome all cheerleaders at the start and finish lines
Parking:
We will have onsite parking for $10.
Post Party:
Food, refreshments and music will be available after the end of the race.
Other:
A portion of the proceeds also benefits the Rose of Sharon Soup Kitchen on North Memorial Parkway.
Team:
Groups are welcome and group discounts will be on offer
Kids Race:
Kids Race is a 1 mile mud run for ages 6-11. (Children under 8 must have an adult accompany them).
Parents who run in an earlier heat can run again for free with their Lil’ Mudders.
