Course Description:
The ROTD is not simply a road run with some actors chasing after you: this is an obstacle course through a hand-created, wooded trail with original/challenging obstacles, and plenty of places for our zombies to hang out and hide. Not only have we built some really cool obstacles, but the area has also blessed us with some great natural obstacles (including mud, lots of mud) and the forest looks like something out of a horror movie, especially in the fall.
Aid Stations:
The Wilderness Search and Rescue Team will also be in attendance at the run to find/tend to any injured runners. They will also fend off any zombies that may be closing in to finish the job.
Awards:
Your award is not getting your brain eatin by a zombie.
Spectators:
There is a small spectator fee of $10.00, and you will have to sign our waiver prior to gaining access to the event grounds (see some of the features described above).
There will be plenty of places for those photo opportunities as your crazy friends and family run for their survival.
Parking:
A VIP parking pass can be purchased for 15 dollars when you register. This pass will get you access to the parking area right at the park.
Otherwise general parking is located in the grass field directly behind the NAPA auto parts store on 57 and next to sharkey’s.
You can access this by turning in next to the NAPA auto parts or through the sharkey’s parking lot.
From the lot you will just walk over to the park. Also look for signs.
Post Party:
After party includes music, food, adult beverages and other fun activities.
THE DEAD PARTY - Will start as soon as you get there and the music will also begin throughout the afternoon. Beer, food, blood and guts will be available for purchase as well.
You are welcome to stay right at the park and party into the night like it’s your last day on this Earth! If that wasn’t enough, yes there will be one of the biggest bon fires you have ever witnessed at this after party!
This years BBQ is being provided by Sharkey's of Liverpool.
Other:
Must be at least 14 years old for this event and must run with an adult.
Team:
Teams are welcome but all sign ups are done on a individual basis. If you want to run with other sign up in the same wave. If for some reason you couldn't all fit in the same wave let us know and we will make it work.
