Gaelforce Events It’s a lot more craic than just running in the mud! Turf Guy is a bog-crawling, wall-leaping, rope-swinging, bone chilling and extremely fun event. It is held on the most challenging and rugged terrain Ireland has to offer on the banks of Killary Fjord, Leenane, Co. Galway. This is a Gaelforce event. We have invested heavily into our top class course using one of the UK’s top ropes course and sky frames builders. This event will be a mental and physical challenge but will also be lots of fun. The course is approximately 10km long. We are not just tyres and cargo nets.......come along and find out for yourself on November 3rd! Turf guys and girls conquer extreme obstacles, push their limits and celebrate with an epic fancy dress party, music and good old Irish craic!

Course Description:

Turf Warrior is a bog-crawling, wall-leaping, rope-swinging, bone chilling and extremely fun event. It is held on the most challenging and rugged terrain Ireland has to offer on the banks of Killary Fjord, Leenane, Co. Galway.
Gaelforce have invested heavily into our top class course using one of the UK’s top ropes course and sky frames builders. This event will be a mental and physical challenge but will also be lots of fun. The course is approximately 8km long. We are not just tyres and cargo nets… Come along and find out for yourself!
You do not need any special skills for the obstacle course but will need some upper body strength for some elements of the assault course, and must be comfortable in waist deep water. We know all Warriors aren't swimmers so we have a non-swim option at any of these obstacles.

Aid Stations:

Finish line food will be provided – including homemade soup, water, fruit, tea & coffee.

Spectators:

Spectators of the mud runners are more than welcome on any part of the obstacle course however no cars are allowed anywhere on the course.
All viewing points must be walked to from the Killary Centre.

Parking:

Parking is limited so please try to car pool and follow marshals' instructions when you arrive.

Post Party:

Dinner available upstairs from 6:00 pm (needs to be pre-booked).

Team:

There will be great discounts for groups of 10 or more.
Groups 10+ will get 10% discount
Groups 20+ get 15% discount
Groups 30+ get a 20% discount

Kids Race:

Minimum age for this event is 16 years old
