China Peak Mud Run Grab your friends, family and co-workers and get ready to get muddy as you take on the 2nd Annual CHINA PEAK MUD RUN, a challenging 5K course of mud and obstacles on the slopes of China Peak Saturday, August 2, 2014. This race begins at 7000 feet in the beautiful Sierra National Forest. Enter as an individual or in teams of 4. To enter a team, all teams members must cross the finish line together. We'll also have a Mini Mud for kids 12 and under. After the race, enjoy a day of food, drinks, music, a Brew Fest and an awards ceremony for the top finishers.

Course Description:

This is a 5K course starting at 7000 feet. The course begins with a slow climb of 1000 feet taking you to mid mountain where you will encounter a swim before turning around and heading back to the base area. There are 10-12 obstacles along the way including a tire pit, log scramble, mud crawl and mud slide.
A A mini race is available for kids 12 and under

Aid Stations:

There will be water stations along the course and at the finish. Patrol will be stationed along the course with an aid station at the top of the course and at the finish.

Awards ceremony for the top finishers

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome at the start and finish and admission is free. There will be chair lift access for those wanting to view the upper course. Chair lift rides will be $10 per person per spectator. Following the race is our Brew Fest and spectators are welcome at this event for free. There is, however, a fee for beer tasting.

Parking:

Parking is free for this event.

Post Party:

Immediately following the run, enjoy our Annual Brew Fest with over 25 brews to sample. Brew Fest tasting is $25 for a tasting glass and up to 10 tastings. Or, purchase your Brew Fest ticket at the same time you register for the Run and get a tasting glass and 5 tastings for an additional $10.

Other:

We do have a mud option to bypass the pond swim.
There is cold water clean up at the race finish.
You are at 7000 feet and the weather can be unpredictable. Be prepared for all temperatures.

Team:

Teams of four are welcome at this event.
Registration cost is the same for individual competitors.
All 4 team members must cross the finish line together to qualify for the team award. Team costumes are welcome!
