Course Description:
Hardship Hill OCR is a 2+ mile off-road course that has over 25 man-made and natural obstacles over grass, dirt and mud which participants must clear to continue on.
The course is set at Ft. Southwest Point, a civil war era fort at the top of a hill surrounded by a river. The course will wind around the hill climbing it a few times but the majority of the course is relatively flat..
A relay team race with obstacles; Hardship Hill will present participants with more than 15 obstacles over the distance of about a mile and a half course. Teams will consist of two to eight team members where only two members of the team will score at any given time. Depending on team strategy, teams can tag in their next two runners each lap or complete multiple laps before tagging in their team members.
Aid Stations:
There are two aid stations along the course. The main aid station, located at Base Camp, will be stocked with water, electrolyte drink, gels, bars, fruit, snacks, and basic first aid supplies.
The other aid station is approximately half way through the course and will provide water only. Runners are encouraged to bring their own race nutrition as well.
